Braided Bracelet Tutorial

Materials :
Sterling Silver 20g Round Dead soft wire 3'
14 Fire Polished beads size #10mm

Step 1: Cut one piece of 1'wire and
Cut one piece or 2'wire.

Step 2: Start with the 2'wire. Find the centre of the wire and make a loop which is the catch of
the bracelet.

Step 3: Twist the wires tightly so that the loop stands firm.

Step 4: Take the 1'wire and twist one end of it at the neck of the loop make a 3 or 4 wrap and

bring it to the middle of the other 2 wires.

Step 5: String 1 bead to the wire in the middle.Take care the bead goes till the end.(pic above)

Step 6: (pic above) Now, hold it in a position that the open wire is away from you. The loop is towards you. Bring the wire on your right side to the centre, over the existing middle wire; closer to the bead, as in the picture.

Step 7: (pic above) Now, bring the wire on your left to the centre over the wire which comes from the right. Now, the wire from the left becomes the middle wire. Hold the cris cross spot tightly with your thumb.

Step 8: (pic above) Now string the next bead to the centre wire.(the wire from the left is the new centre wire)

Repeat step 6,7,8 till you do all the 14 beads.

{ ie: Always string the bead to the wire which comes from the left to the centre.}

Step 9: (pic down) Make one braid without the beads.

Step 10:(Pic down) Chose the shortest wire and wrap it around the other 2 wires 3 or 4 times.

Step 11: Nip off the rest of the wire from the wrapped wire.

Step 12: (pic down) With the rest of the 2wire, we are going to make the hook. Leaving 1"wire, cut of the rest of the wire.

Step 13:with the help of the chain nose plier, bend the ends of the wire.

Bend it tightly as you see in the above pic.

Step 14: Make a hook as you see in the above picture.

Step 15: Check if the hook catches the loop correctly. If when hooked, it appears like a mountain raise, please bend it at the neck of the bracelet or at the wrap with the help of the chain nose plier.

Now your Braided Bracelet is ready to wear.

Barrel Bead bracelet tutorial

Barrel bead Bracelet.

Materials:

20g soft sterling silver wire - 80"
4mm silver bead - 14"
Barrel bead - 7

Tools:

Flush cutter(Fc),Round nose plier(Rnp),Flat nose plier(Fnp)

Preparations:
Cut 2 pieces of 20"wire
Cut 1 piece of 10"wire
Cut 10 pieces of 3"wire

Method:

With the Fnp,hold the wire at the center and pinch it on either side. With the help of a 3" wire, wrap it at the centre. This is the catch for the hook. Wrap another piece of wire little away.ie 1/3" away and wrap the wire running around the wire up and down. This is wrap no.1.

Now wrap the 10" wire at the middle of the wrapped wire no.1.This wire that runs in the middle is where the beads are strung.*String 1number of 4mm bead,1 barrel bead and 1more 4mmbead. Then wrap it withe another 3"wire;repeat from(*) for 6 more times. At the end of the 7th set of beads, wrap the middle wire and cut off the rest of the wire.

For the side wire, leave 1" and cut the rest of it.Make a loop on either side of it.
With the last piece of 3"wire, make a hook that fits in the loop.By now, the bracelet would be about 7-8"long. Bend it on a bracelet mandrel. Not the hook might get set in the catch.

The Bracelet is ready to wear.
